Vickie Sue Tredway, 72, of Oxford passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 1st at the Oxford Funeral Service Chapel, the family will greet friends at the funeral home from 1-2 P.M. prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and Rivercross Hospice, contributions may be left in care of the Oxford Funeral Service.
Vickie was born June 3, 1948 in El Dorado, KS the daughter of Tom Junkins Jr. and Phyllis (Cain) Junkins. She graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1966. Vickie was united in marriage to Bill Tredway on October 22, 1971 in Arkansas City, the shared 49 wonderful years together. As well as being a stay-at-home mom, Vickie worked at the Winfield Wal-Mart in the electronics department for 25 years, she retired in 2016. She enjoyed going fishing, camping and looking for antiques, and she loved family activities. Vickie was an outspoken, helpful person who truly never met a stranger.
She is survived by her husband Bill Tredway of Oxford, son Michael Tredway (Davina) of Wellington, daughter Debra Tredway Rose (Nate) of Wichita, grandchildren: Jessica and Shelbi Rose, and Joanna and Abby Tredway; great-grandchildren: Meadow, Rose, Aries; and sister Janet Bishop of Towanda. Vickie is preceded in death by her parents, sister Karen Thompson, and granddaughter Katrine “Kat” Tredway.
