Ric Dean Percell, 69, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away on January 1, 2021, in his room at Winfield Senior Living. He is now at peace after battling Covid-19 for 10 days. He was born April 15, 1951, to Don and Dody Percell in Dayton, Ohio. His family moved to Pacific Palisades, California, when he was a teenager. There he spent his days as a young adult enjoying the beach, surfing, and playing his guitar. His passion for music led him to start a blues rock band, Hebadia, with his friends in the 70’s. He met his wife Leslie at a show he was playing and they raised two daughters, Kasey and Jessie. He started and managed a landscape maintenance business for 30 years.
Ric was a kind and gentle soul with a joking nature which left a lasting impression and smile with everyone he met. He loved spending time with his family camping, trips to the ocean, gardening, fishing, golfing, and playing his guitar. He will be remembered and missed by Jessie, Kasey, and Leslie, and his grandson Nico.
Cremation will take place and the family will have private services.
