Ralph C. Murrell

Ralph C. Murrell, 90, formerly of Winfield, KS passed away Friday, April 14, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM April 28, 2023 at the Oxford Christian Church. Inurnment will take place at the Oxford Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oxford Christian Church or to an organization of the donor’s choice. Donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield.

Ralph was born September 12, 1932 in Purcell, OK, the son of John and Oleva (Pearce) Murrell. After graduating high school, Ralph received an associate degree from St. John’s College in Winfield. He served in the US Army from 1953-1955 during the Korean Conflict. On January 4, 1953 Ralph was united in marriage to the love of his life Patrica Ann Jordan at the Grenola, KS Christian Church. He worked for the John Deere dealership in Winfield as a parts manager for over 20 years. Ralph was an avid reader and loved reading books of every genre, he also collected coffee mugs and was a member of the Oxford Church.

Survivors include his daughter Pam Martin, grandsons Josh Murrell and Jeremy Martin (Amy), great-grandchildren Kim Porter, Tyler Porter, Olivia Murrell, and Callie Martin, brother Bud Cather, and sisters Marilyn Robison, Vineta Weathers, and Loreta Watkins (Rick). Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother William Davis Murrell.
