Phyllis J. (Totten) Easley, 85, formerly of Oxford, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022 at Winfield Rest Haven surrounded by her family.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 20, 2022 at the Oxford Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-6 P.M. Saturday, March 19 at the Oxford Funeral Service. Memorial contributions for Phyllis may be made to the Belle Plaine Barner Center, donations may be left in the care of the Oxford Funeral Service.
Phyllis was born February 13, 1937 the daughter of Harold “Ty” and Merta (Fisher) Totten. She was born in Oxford, KS and graduated from Oxford High School in 1955. After graduating high school Phyllis was united in marriage to Harry Jess Easley on November 21, 1955 in Winfield. The couple made their home in Oxford, later moving to Belle Plaine, where they stayed for 30 years, and they lived several years in Burden before finally returning to Oxford. Phyllis was a proud homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family. She loved gardening, sewing, going antiquing and collecting, and she greatly enjoyed cooking for her family.
Phyllis is survived by her daughters Dorinda Neises and husband Albert, and Lorie Landen; 6 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, nieces Harriet Wise, Janet Totten, and Linda Coffey. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, sister Vernadine Totten and brother Olin Totten.
