Pat Ostrander, 87, of Oxford, passed away, Friday, March 13, 2020 at her home in Oxford, KS.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the Oxford Christian Church in Oxford, KS. Visitation is scheduled from Noon until 7:00 P.M. with the family receiving friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at Oxford Funeral Service. Patricia Jean Ostrander was born September 5, 1932 in Wellington, KS the daughter of William French and Mabel Wilhelmina (Miller) Sawyer. She was a 1950 graduate of Wellington High School. Pat worked for Boeing doing riveting. She was united in marriage with LeRoy Max Ostrander on October 6, 1953. Pat worked at “Roxie’s Lunch” in Oxford before working for the Oxford School District as the head cook and dietician for over 30 years, retiring in 1994. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to Colorado every year. Baking and cooking were her passion. She also liked to fish, knit, read and sew. Pat and Max also liked to travel to Las Vegas. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren.
Pat is survived by her daughters: Roxie Mickens and husband Gordon of Hamilton MT, Janice Bain and husband Rick of Oxford; brother Jack Sawyer of Winfield, KS; 4 grandchildren: Travis Swaim of Hamilton, MT, Stephanie Light of Hamilton, MT, Ryan Bain (Ashley) of Oxford, KS and Jacob Bain (Brandy) of Winfield, KS; great grandchildren: Max Light, Cristian Bain, Sophia Bain, Kegan Kelly, Taylor Bain, Gage Patterson, Kameron Knowles and Gavyn Bain.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Max Ostrander, 6 brothers and 1 sister.
