Michelle (Sheppard) Hendrix

Michelle Denise Hendrix, 46, of Arkansas City, KS passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021 in Wichita.

The family will hold memorial services at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the Trinity Southern Baptist Church – 1301 S. A St. Arkansas City, KS 67005. Donations to defray funeral expenses may be made to the “Michelle Hendrix Memorial Fund” at Ark Valley Credit Union. Arrangements are in care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City.

Michelle was born on March 18, 1975 to parents Steven Sheppard and Katherine “Kat” Sumner Rixx. She attended Arkansas City High School and graduated in 1993. She was united in marriage to Buddy Hendrix on September 12, 2015 in Arkansas City. Michelle worked as a nail tech at 9th St. Salon in Winfield, later she ran a daycare out of her home. Michelle enjoyed listening to music, Jeeping and off-roading, riding motorcycles, being a member of the American Legion and women’s auxiliary and being Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus with Buddy.

Michelle is survived by her husband Buddy Hendrix, stepchildren Colter and Oakley, 4 grandchildren, mother Kat Rixx, brother Patrick James Sheppard, brother in law Billy Hendrix and sisters in law Colleen and Belinda Hendrix.

She is preceded in death by her father Steven Sheppard and grandmother Mrs. Kenneth Vickery.
