Michael Joseph Frischenmeyer, 70, of Arkansas City passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.

Michael was born in Wichita, KS on May 29, 1950 the son of Anthony and Mary (Cooke) Frischenmeyer. He grew up in Clearwater, KS and graduated from the Clearwater High School in 1968. Michael worked as a self-employed lawnmower mechanic, he enjoyed collecting and fixing clocks, hunting, watching baseball, and working with his hands. He especially loved his dogs Moe, Zoey and Becker.

Michael is survived by his significant other, Karen Knowles, siblings: Ron Frischenmeyer, Roger Frischenmeyer, Maureen Kile, and Pauline Frischenmeyer. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Tony, Steve, Carl, Bob, Jim, Rosalie, Theresa, Betty, and Trudy.

No services are scheduled at this time, arrangements are in care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City.

Karen, I was broken hearted when I read that you'd lost your beloved Michael.  Although it was all too brief, you two had something very special!  You two shared a tremendous love and many great times together.  I hope that will bring you much comfort and many smiles.  Love to you, my friend.

We will always treasure the time that we knew Michael. We interacted with him often through his ability to make our lawnmowers keep running. Michael was service oriented and fun. I will always remember this last election cycle and his energy running around getting signs for his yard and some of his neighbors. He was so full of energy.  Always.....Mr. Michael ....we cared deeply for you
