Mark Wayne Brannam, 59, of Arkansas City, KS passed away March 26, 2022.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Shelley Family Funeral home of Arkansas City. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City, to defray funeral expenses.
Mark was born November 29, 1962 in Joplin, MO to parents Kenneth and Leona (Abbott) Brannam. He graduated from high school in Caney, KS; after graduating Mark joined the Marines, he was honorably discharged after 4 years and continued serving in the Army National Guard. He worked security at First Council Casino for many years, and for the last two years worked at Southwind Casino in Braman, OK. Mark was united in marriage to Connie Bridges in Las Vegas on June 12, 2000. Mark was a hard worker and was always well-liked and respected by his friends and co-workers, he enjoyed country music, working on his truck, Ford Mustangs, all animals, and watching his family play sports.
He is survived by his wife Connie Brannam, children: Ryan Brannam, Tyler Brannam, Stephanie Bridges, James Bridges, and Jackie Bridges; grandchildren: Leah Brannam and Ava Brannam; adopted grandchildren: Bryan Wilson, Clarenza Hollins, Aaron Hollins, and Devonta Hollins; mother Leona Schneider; siblings: Mike Brannam and wife Anita, Lori Philo and husband Rod, and Cindy Brannam. Mark is preceded in death by his father, sister Karen Block, and step-son Brian Bridges.
