Marjorie Campbell Obituary

Marjorie Lorrene Campbell, 100, of Burden, KS passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 20, 2022 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 4th at Cornerstone Bible Fellowship in Winfield. Burial will follow at the Bruno Township Cemetery in Andover. No visitation is scheduled. Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Bible Fellowship, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield.

Marjorie was born in Chaonia, MO on May 31, 1921 to parents William and Maude Kathleen (Classick) Cooper. She graduated from high school in Eureka, KS in 1940. Marjorie met the love of her life, Calvin Campbell, while he was on leave during WWII, they were married on December 26, 1942 in Wichita, KS. She worked at Boeing during WWII, as a CNA at Wesley Medical Center, she also worked at Cessna for 20 years, retiring as the head of maintenance.  Marjorie enjoyed selling Mary Kay and Tupperware products and riding horses. Marjorie’s faith was very important to her and she attended the Wichita Bible Church, she also loved teaching Sunday school and being involved in the children’s ministry.

Marjorie is survived by her children: David Campbell and wife Sherry, Ann Adamson and husband Ken, Daniel Campbell, and Debby Smith; grandchildren: Stacey, Erika, Jason, Derek, Martha, Shem, Nichole, Ryan, and Justin. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and nine siblings.
