Manuel Gutierrez

Manuel Gutierrez, 49, of Arkansas City, KS passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022, at his home.

Private candlelight services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelley Family Funeral Home to defray funeral expenses.

Manuel was born in Las Angeles, CA to parents Jose and Vera (Sosack) Gutierrez. He attended high school in Taft, CA and later earned his GED, and afterward started working as an oil rigger. On December 21, 2011 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Abigail Fannon in Carson City, NV. The couple loved traveling all over the world and one of Manuel’s favorite places was Kansas, he worked for Rubbermaid, Creekstone, and Western Industries. Manuel loved fishing, camping and spending time at rivers and lakes, listening to music, and his dog Tank.

He is survived by his wife Abigail, children Michael Fannon, Destiny (Mike) Gutierrez, Corey (Shanda) Gutierrez, Manuel Zachary (Maddie) Gutierrez, Kayla (Zach) Melton, Sarah (Tyler) Melton and Bradley (Heather) Melton; grandchildren Serenity, Haydin, Alexander, Noah, Nixon, Zachary, Kinslee, Elyna, Summer and Brantley; and sister Chris (Rachel) Adamson.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Jose Gutierrez.
