Linda Sue Severs

Linda Sue Severs,79, of San Antonio, TX passed away on August 3, 2021, with her family by her side.

The family will hold a private service at a later date. Memorials in Linda’s name may be made to the Cowley County Humane Society and left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City.

Linda was born on July 5, 1942, in Wise County, VA to parents Robert and Anna (Fields) Brummett, her father later passed, and she was adopted by Clyde Potter. She graduated from high school in Amarillo, TX. On November 22, 1961, Linda was united in marriage to James Severs in Amarillo, TX, he preceded her in death on January 5, 2016. She worked at South Summit Carryout as a manager for 25 years. Linda enjoyed being a Blue Bird leader for her daughter's elementary school a member of The Salvation Army, she was a Sunday school teacher, youth leader, and advisory board member at her church. She drove the canteen food truck to disasters in Kansas and was a FEMA disaster relief trainer.

Linda is survived by her daughter Teresa Tichenor and husband Steve, grandchildren, Jeremy Severs, Wendy Severs, Zackery Tichenor and Amanda Tichenor, brother Michael Potter and sister Gina Fields.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Christopher and brothers Marcus Potter and Robert Brummett.
