It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our daughter and sister Lettie L. Robson on May 1, 2020. She was 62.
Lettie was born in Winfield, KS in 1958 to Vossie Lee and LaDeana Williams Brown. The family moved to Milan and she attended school in Argonia and later Bell Plaine. Lettie graduated from Coldwater Highs school. Lettie lived for a time in Denver CO and later moved to Phoenix, AZ where she had a growing business in interior design and faux finishing until injuries from an accident forced her to close her company. It was then that she became a guidance counselor and teacher. Due to her declining health and wanting to support her mother, Lettie moved back to Wellington KS. Though her health continued to decline, she pursued her work as a teacher, counselor and mentor. As her physical strength declined, her mental and spiritual growth continued. Lettie was very artistic and creative. She took delight in her hobbies, painting, crafting, gardening and decorating to celebrate the holidays. For all her physical frailty, she was our rock. She will be sorely missed.
Lettie is preceded in death by her father Vossi L. Brown, stepfather, Karl F (Buck) Wempen.
She is survived by her mother LaDeana E. Wempen of Wellington KS; her brother Melvin D. Brown and wife Janell Brown of Anthony, KS; and her sister Christina K. Dohr and husband Robert F. Dohr of Colorado Springs CO.
At her request there will be no funeral.
