Leon Fields Obituary

Leon Ora Fields, 74, of Arkansas City, KS passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Hays Medical Center.

Leon was born in Arkansas City on October 24, 1946 to Oliver and Marie Fields. He attended Arkansas City High School. Leon worked as a welder and a farmer, he enjoyed watching TV, talking and teasing people, going camping, fishing and hunting. He also attended Hillcrest Bible Baptist Church in Arkansas City.

He is survived by his wife Hazel Bowman, four children, and sisters: Francis Barton, Irene Insign, and Patricia Nichols. He is preceded in death by his parents and one son.

According to Leon’s wishes cremation will take place, no services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arkansas City American Legion Post #18, contributions may be left in care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City.
