Laurel Ann Sandy Vogel

Laurel Ann Sandy Vogel, 79, of Arkansas City, KS passed away April 24, 2021 at Wesley Medical Center.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 30, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Arkansas City. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 29 at the church. Memorial contributions be made to the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City to defray expenses.

Laurel was born August 29, 1941 in Chicago, IL to parents Albert and Eleanor (Beyer) Sandy. She attended Elmwood Park High School and graduated in 1959, afterward she attended Loyola College. On June 1, 1963 she was united in marriage to the love of her life Dale Vogel. Laurel worked as a secretary at Iverson and Iverson Law Firm from 1998 until 2019. She enjoyed traveling all over the world especially England, she enjoyed swimming, crocheting, refinishing furniture, was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Laurel had a great sense of humor and the most important thing in her life was family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son Kurt Vogel and wife Cassandra, daughter Linda Robinson and husband Trence, and son Todd Vogel; sister Madelon Koerner and husband Victor; grandchildren: Christian, Christina, Marcus, Montez, James, Makayla, Abdul, Meela, Reece, Maria, Brittany, Hannah and Gracie, nephew and niece Scott and Kristen Koerner. She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter in law Jessica De Vera Mariano Vogel.
