Jennifer Ann (Gutknecht) LaFond, 53, of Wellington passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at her home.

No services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions for Jennifer may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, contributions may be left in care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Wellington – PO Box 555 Wellington, KS 67152.

Jennifer was born on October 18, 1966 in Chicago Heights, IL the daughter of John Gutknecht and Marilyn (Eyre) Lovett. She attended the Manitowoc, WI Lutheran High School and later earned her GED. Jennifer was a homemaker and loved caring for her family, she also enjoyed makeup and took cosmetology courses from Estee Lauder. Some of her favorite hobbies were horseback riding, crocheting blankets, creative writing and gardening; Jennifer was very devoted to the Lord, she enjoyed going to Bible studies, reading devotions and spending time in prayer.

Survivors include her daughters: Nichole LaFond, Lauren Shaft and husband Andrew, Cassandra Webster and husband Josh; grandchildren: Wyatt, Aylah, and Kaiden; mother Marilyn Lovett; siblings: Mike Gutknecht, David Lovett, Daniel Lovett, Joy McNeil, and Stephen Lovett. She is preceded in death by her father.
