Jenell (Finger) Lofton

Eugenia Jenell Lofton, 83, of Winfield, KS passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023 in Winfield, KS.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 20, 2023 at the Winfield First Church of the Nazarene. Private interment will take place at the Winfield Veterans’ Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be held from 5-7 P.M.  Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield. Memorial contributions in Jenell’s name may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, contributions may be left in the care of the funeral home.

Jenell was born on August 9, 1940 in Wichita Falls, TX to parents Ernest Logan Finger and Eugenia Leona (Erwin) Finger. The family moved to California and Jenell graduated from North Hollywood High School in 1958. On July 18, 1958 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, William Farrell Lofton. They lived in Barstow, CA for over 30 years, then in Colorado Springs for several years, before moving to Winfield in 1993. Jenell enjoyed gardening, interior design and decorating,  she was a board member of Eagle Nest, Inc., and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Winfield. More than anything, Jenell loved spending time with her family.

Jenell is survived by her children: Renee Denison and husband Jamey, Dave Lofton and wife Amy, and Chrisy Mull and husband Chris; grandchildren: Jared Lofton and wife Sabrina, Caleb Lofton, Emily Wilson and husband Myles, Chloe Mull and husband Gary, Kaitlyn Denison, Rachel Lofton, and Ian Mull; and great-grandchildren: Brialyn, Eva, Haven, Piper, Avery, Dallas, Asher, Felicity, Amory, and Joseph. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandson Trevor Denison.
