Jalon Michael Crowley, 38, of Arkansas City passed away peacefully Friday, February 12, 2021 at his home.
Jalon was born May 4, 1982 in Loma Linda, CA to Joe E. Crowley and Donnis Jean (Graham) Crowley. He attended grade school and middle school in Wellington, KS at Calvary Chapel Christian School. He graduated from Arkansas City High School in 2000. While in high school Jalon took 2nd place in the 1998 state wrestling tournament and won state champion in 2000, he went to Labette Community College in Parsons, KS on a full wrestling scholarship, qualifying for nationals both in his freshman and sophomore years. He continued his education at University of Central Oklahoma. While in college, he worked for Southern Hills Veterinary Hospital in Edmond as a veterinary assistant.
After moving back to Arkansas City, he worked at Skyline. Later he moved to Rose Hill to work at ACES for Jana and Ross Lumbert. From there he took a job for the Oklahoma, Kansas Railroad - and later returned to Skyline.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Christina (Crowley) Tyler, and his grandparents.
Survivors include his parents, Joe and Jean Crowley, his nephews, Logan and Sylas Tyler; niece Kadynce Tyler; and his best friend, his dog Diesel and new addition Ripley.
Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Arkansas City First Assembly of God Church. Private interment will take place at Parker Cemetery at a later date. The family will greet friends from 5-7 P.M. Friday, February 19 at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City. Memorial contributions for Jalon may be made to the Cowley County Humane Society, contributions may be left in care of the funeral home.
