Hazel Bowman Obituary

Hazel Charlene Bowman, 81, of Arkansas City passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022.

Charlene was born October 12, 1940 in Arkansas City to parents Isaac and Dorthy (Barton) Bowman. She graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1959 and was a family caregiver. She loved gardening and being with family, she attended the Assembly of God church and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her sister Ida Geralden Brown of Arkansas City, and brother Sam Robert Bowman of Lawrence, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, significant other Leon Fields, siblings Margret Isabella Hughes, Ruth May Trenary, Everett Eugene Bowman and Jackie McClelland Bowman.

Cremation will take place and her family will hold graveside services at Riverview Cemetery, Friday, April 8th, 2022 at 1:30 P.M. Arrangements are in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.
