Harry Easley Obituary

Harry Jess Easley, 89, of Oxford, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the Oxford Medicalodge.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 23, at the Oxford Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at the Oxford Cemetery. Harry’s family will greet friends from 5-7 P.M. Saturday, May 22 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Medicalodges of Oxford, donations may be left in the care of Oxford Funeral Service.

Harry was born February 7, 1932 to parents Ambrose and Clara (Beers) Easley. He grew up in the Leon area and graduated from Leon High School, in 1950 Harry moved to Oxford, later moving to Belle Plaine, where he resided for 30 years, he lived the last several years in Burden. Harry was united in marriage to the love of his life, Phyllis Totten in Winfield on November 21, 1955. He was a member of the Oxford Christian Church and enjoyed: fishing, gardening, collecting scale model cars and trucks, going to auctions, maintaining a beautiful lawn, rooting for the Chiefs, KU and WSU. Harry was a member of the Order of Odd Fellow’s, and was a board member of The Barner Center in Belle Plaine. Harry loved spending time with family, he especially enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sporting events.

Harry is survived by his wife Phyllis Easley; daughters Dorinda Neises and husband Albert, and Lorie Landen; 6 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Gladys Deshazo, Hazel Raby, and Lavina Lamb.
