Geoffrey “Geoff” Gene Arnold, 53 of Jacksonville, Florida passed away at his home June 29, 2021.
Geoff was born on August 30, 1967 in Arkansas City to proud parents Bill and Judy (Purvis) Arnold. Geoff graduated from Derby High School in 1985 and then attended Pittsburg State College where he received a degree in fluid engineering. On September 24, 2005 he was united in marriage to Michelle Monahan, they later divorced. Geoff was an avid open wheel racing fan. He had season tickets to the Indy 500 and went to the race for a lot of years. He also was an avid deer hunter, enjoyed fishing and golfing, was self-taught at the drums, loved music, animals, and using his flight simulator.
Geoff is survived by his daughters Linley and Briley Arnold of Lee’s Summit, MO, his mother Judy Arnold of Winfield, KS and brother Greg Arnold of Arkansas City, KS.
He is preceded in death by his father, grandparents Rance and Alma (Blevins) Arnold and Julius and Ola Mae (Webster) Purvis.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 14 at Parker Cemetery in Arkansas City. Memorial donations for Geoff may be made to the Cowley County Humane Society, contributions may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City.
