Delanie Breann Hammeke

Delanie Breann Hammeke, 18, of Oxford, KS passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Wesley Medical Center.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Oxford Christian Church. Burial will follow at the Oxford Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5-7 PM Friday, February 25, 2022 at the Oxford Funeral Service. Memorial contributions may be made to the International Rett Syndrome Foundation, donations may be left in the care of the Oxford Funeral Service.

Lanie was born October 10, 2003 in Great Bend, KS to parents Kevin Hammeke and Dara (Mollenkamp) Smythe. She grew up in Oxford and attended Oxford schools. Lanie was born with Rett Syndrome, a rare neurodevelopmental disorder, but that did not stop her from living every day to the fullest, she loved feeling the wind on her face and going for 4-wheeler and boat rides, she enjoyed watching Veggie Tales and spending time with her family. If Lanie liked you, she would give you lots of sass and eye rolls.

Survivors include her mother Dara (Scott) Smythe, father Kevin (Angela) Hammeke, siblings Kayle and Milo Smythe, grandparents Donna and Gerald Mollenkamp, Steve and Andrea Hammeke, and Thomas Smythe, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
