Deborah Lynn Heppler

Deborah Lynn Heppler, 65, longtime Ponca City resident, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, May 22, 2021 in Arkansas City, KS.

A Celebration of her life will be at 2 P.M. Friday, May 28 at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Pastor Gale Rider will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12–8 P.M. Thursday, May 27 at the funeral home, the family will greet friends from 5-8 P.M. that evening. Memorial contributions may be made to the “Deb Heppler Grandchildren Scholarship Fund”, contributions may be left in care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.

Deborah was born September 23, 1955 in Mena, AR the daughter of Raymond Lee Smith and Frances Jeanette Daniel. She graduated from high school in 1973 in Washington State. Some years after high school she moved to Ponca City, OK. For many years she worked at the Cherokee Strip Credit Union. Deborah enjoyed baking and cooking with her friends and family, along with spending time with her family and making them smile. Deborah Heppler was a very devoted mother that loved her children and would do anything for the ones she loved.

She is survived by her daughter Celline Heppler of Ponca City, son Jordon Heppler of Ponca City and wife Kellie, and their daughters Nevaeh and Aaliyah; sisters Aleta Bruce (Donald) of Arkansas City, Jennifer Belair of Arkansas City, Twala Slater (Bill) of Arkansas City, Paula Coble (Daryl) of Arkansas City, Quada Smith of Arkansas City and brother Stephen Smith (Darla) of Arkansas City. As well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and nephew Jason Thomas Bruce who she loved and talked about often.
