Daniel Lee Lankford

Daniel “Danny” Lee Lankford, 54, of Wichita, KS passed away Monday, August 28, 2023.

Private family services are to be held Friday at 6:00 PM. Cremation will be affected. Arrangements are in the care of the Oxford Funeral Service.

Danny was born in Liberal, KS to parents Robert Lee Lankford and Korla Jeane (McBride) Kessler on November 27, 1968. He worked laying carpet and tile and enjoyed tinkering and riding motorcycles and his dogs. Danny was a jokester, and had a great sense of humor, contagious laugh, and he was very strong and outgoing and was protective of his family.

Survivors include his children Kathy Sutton and granddaughters Latrice Swanson,  Lajeshia Sutton, and grandson Quintel Sutton of Fort Smith, AR; Cortez (Tiffany) Sutton and grandson Cortez Jr., granddaughter Sielo  of Wichita;  Sarena Oliver of Wichita;  Talisha (Joseph) Olenda and grandson Mateo of Dallas, TX,  Marissa Murray of Wichita,  Aubrey (Caleb) Bradley and granddaughter Aliyah of Derby; and Daniel Murray of Wichita; siblings Dorothy Weishaple (Robert) of Mulvane, Melanie Burnett-Wilson (Bill) of Oxford, Michael Keifenheim (Stacey) of Ponca City, OK, Kimberly Weninger (David) of Colwich, Margaret “Jarra” Kessler of Fort Worth, TX and Amanda Kessler of Park City; aunts Tammy (Bobby) Beyard of Oxford,  Holly (Bo) Rivers of Sycamore, GA, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Travis Kessler, uncle Kevin Hamlin, grandson Quintel, and niece Isabella.
