Barbara Anderson Obituary

Barbara Sue Anderson, 80, of Winfield passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

According to her wishes, cremation will take place and her family will hold private memorial services at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield.

Barbara was born May 13, 1941 in Tulsa, OK to parents Dean Keith Cope and Evalena Norma (Vaughn) Cope. She graduated from Winfield High School and later worked as an LPN at William Newton Hospital and The Good Samaritan Society in Winfield. She enjoyed going to yard sales, knitting, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, and reading books. She also was a member of the local American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary.

Surviving to honor Barbara in memory is her son Jackie Dean Anderson, grandchildren: Krystal Anderson, Kahla Anderson, Sasha Anderson, and Tashyn Alexia, as well as numerous great-grandkids. She is preceded in death by her parents, children Kim Sue Anderson and James Lee Anderson, and her brother.
