Arthur “Bud” William Beeman, 83, of Oxford, KS passed away Friday, May 21, 2021 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, May 26 at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 AM – 8 PM Monday, May 24 at the Oxford Funeral Service, the family will greet friends from 6-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oxford Christian Church, contributions may be left in care of the funeral home.
Bud was born November 30, 1937 in Winfield, KS to parents Theron and Juanita (Hall) Beeman. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1955. Bud was united in marriage to the love of his life, Shirley Goodman, June 1, 1957 at the Wellington Christian Church. He was a man of many talents and skills and spent time working as a welder, mechanic, electrician, teacher, and a farmer. Bud was known to be a patient and patriotic man who loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising cattle, being in nature, and attending his kids and grandkids sporting events.
Bud is survived by his wife Shirley Beeman, of Oxford; children: Aaron (Angela) Beeman of Cassville, MO, Christy (Wilbert) Kelly of Hunnewell, KS, Lori (Brian) Knowles of Oxford, KS, Travis (Theresa DeMint) Beeman of Winfield, KS; grandchildren: Justin Kelly, Tyson (Angela) Kelly, Austin (Kenna) Kelly, Meagan (Aaron) Snook, Adam Beeman, Brennan (Amanda) Knowles, Sonya (Matt) Porter, Kimberly (Clinton) Posey, Toby (Lindsay) Beeman; bonus grandchildren: Rebecca (Hunter) Madison, and Emma (Michael) Hunter; as well as 20 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.
