Shirley Kay (Budden) Byrum

Shirley Byrum, 60, of Enid, OK succumbed to a 9-month battle with throat cancer on April 24, 2019 at the Integris Baptist Health Center in Enid, OK.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church 1501 W. Purdue Ave., Enid, OK 73703. .

Shirley Kay Budden was born July 18, 1958, the daughter of Maynard Budden and Donna (Lamb) Staggs in St. Joseph, MO. She graduated from Benton High School in 1976. She married Phil Boyer, to this union three sons were born: Phil, Aron and Christopher. Shirley was united in marriage to Alan Byrum on June 13, 1998 in Enid, OK.

Cooking for others was a joy to her. She loved experimenting with various cuisines. Shirley loved animals and had a variety of pets. She was happiest camping and fishing.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Alan of the home; sons: Phil Boyer and Chris Boyer of Enid,OK; mother, Donna Staggs of St. Joseph, MO; sisters: Janet Sherer, and Lana (Kevin) Miller all of St. Joseph, MO; and a brother, Byron Budden (Sherry) of St. Joseph, MO; step sister, Becky Brozovich of Jefferson City, MO; two grandchildren: Aaron and Arianna; many nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, son Aron and her sister, Diana Sheppard.
