Madlyn Weathered, 94 of Oxford, KS passed away Sunday, October 13th at the Medical Lodge Care Center in Oxford, KS.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the Oxford United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the Oxford Funeral Service Chapel. No family night is scheduled. Madlyn Gladys Weathered was bon on August 30, 1925 the daughter of Jesse Charles (J.C.) and Odessa Nevada (Vosburgh) Richards in Brookville, KS. She was a 1943 graduate of the Salina High School before the family moved to Hutchinson where she and Harold met. She was united in marriage with Harold Weathered on August 9, 1944 in Hutchinson. After marriage the couple moved to Oxford where they farmed and raised their family. Madlyn enjoyed playing cards, painting, collected dolls and did leather work.
Survivors include a son, Steven Weathered of Arkansas; son-in-law, Roy Nave of Oxford; 2 grandchildren, Cory Weathered and Tracy Weathered; nephew Ronnie Richards and wife Christina of Wichita.
Madlyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold and daughter Cynda Weathered, and niece, Denise Stone.
