Larry Marsh Sr, 86, Passed away June 20, 2018 at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.
Memorial Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, June 26th at the Shelley Family Funeral Home, 803 Loomis St., Winfield, Kansas. Graveside Services will be held at the Memorial Lawn Cemetery. A memorial has been established with the Wounded Warriors Foundation. Contributions can be left with the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield.
Larry Stephen Marsh, Sr. was born in Wichita, KS on March 16, 1932. He is survived by Jimmie Sue Marsh, his ex-wife, good friend, and mother of his children: Kim Marsh Hulsey, Ray Marsh, Becky Marsh Moore (Alan). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and six step-children. He was preceded in death by his son Larry Marsh, Jr. and his sister Jean Marsh Fabrycky. He was also preceded in death by Edith Hale Marsh. Larry married Edith F. Hale May 17, 2014 in Winfield, KS.
He graduated from East High School and attended Wichita State University. He was in the US Army during the Korean War. Larry was a successful man. He founded Architectural Metal Products, Inc., the fabricator of the Keeper of the Plains and the Tripodal. He was a member of Rotary and Wagon Masters, served on the Wichita Sister Cities Board, and sang tenor in several groups and quartets. He relocated to Oklahoma City, and retired from Mass Trans. He began a program at the First Christian Church in OKC repairing old bicycles to restore for underprivileged children. There are so many that will miss him and who are thankful to have known him.
