Jim Cay Brister, 94, of Winfield passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Cumbernauld Village.

Jim was born on February 22, 1925 in Wichita to parents Cay and Edith (Tasker) Brister. He graduated from Winfield High School in 1943 and was married to Phyllis Smith in 1982 in Reno, Nevada. Jim worked in construction and in the oil fields for Shell Oil.

According to Jim’s wishes cremation will take place and no services will be held. Arrangements are in care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield.
