Jean Fayer Obituary

Jean Fayer, 87, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 at the Kansas Medical Center in Andover.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 10 AM Thursday, June 21 at Highland Cemetery in Winfield. Memorial contributions in Jean’s name may be made to the Kansas Medical Center in Andover. Contributions may be left in care of Shelley Family Funeral Home – 803 Loomis St. Winfield, KS 67156.

Jean was born on August 13, 1930 in Winthrop, Massachusetts to parents Abraham and Sarah (Goldberg) Indeck. Jean grew up in Winthrop and graduated from Winthrop High School in 1948. In 1960 she was united in marriage to Alfred Fayer in Boston, Massachusetts. Jean worked as a bookkeeper as well as being a homemaker; she enjoyed crocheting, playing mahjong, watching TV and movies.

Survivors include her husband Alfred Fayer, daughter Elena Everhart, son-in-law Jeff Everhart, daughter-in-law Mae Fayer, brother Jack Indeck, and grandchildren: Krista, Matthew and Aiden, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and son Larry Fayer.
