Donna Mae (Defore) Storey, 86, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at Winfield Senior Living Community.
The family will hold a celebration of life service at 10 AM Friday, November 30 at the First United Methodist Church in Winfield. Burial will take place at the Mulvane Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Contributions may be left in care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home – 803 Loomis St. Winfield, KS 67156.
Donna was born on December 8, 1931 in Udall, Kansas the daughter of Cecil and Lois (Leforce) Defore. Donna graduated from Udall High School in 1948. She was united in marriage with George B. Storey on June 11, 1949. The couple lived in El Dorado, Wellington and Winfield. Donna enjoyed being a homemaker, she was known as a craft master and like making cards, dolls, ceramics and gardening. Donna attended the First United Methodist Church of Winfield and was involved with the Merry Makers and several crafting groups. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include: her husband George Storey of Winfield, son Doug Storey (Deb) of Rosehill, daughter Tressa Daniels (Lee) of Wichita, daughter Moneisa Owens of Ponca City; siblings: Cleta Porter of Winfield, Dan Defore of Winfield, Deb Bauer of Wichita and Glenda Lane of Arizona; grandchildren: Christopher, Janelle, Ryan, Camdin, Drexin and Huxley; step - grandchildren: Rachelle and Jerrad Daniels; great grandchildren: Blake, Matt, and Emery; step - great-grandchildren Meghan and Aiden.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Janara Clanton and sister Janie Ketchum.
