Diana June (Budden) Sheppard

Diana June Sheppard, 63, of Elwood, Kansas passed away September 13, 2018 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph MO.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 P.M., Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Cornerstone Church, 16100 Hwy 71, Savannah, MO. Pastor Ronald Parker will officiate. A memorial has been established to help with funeral expenses. 

Diana was born May 6, 1955 in Kansas City, Missouri to Maynard Budden and Donna May Lamb.  She was united in marriage to Thomas Sheppard on August 3, 1996 in St. Joseph, MO and he preceded her in death in July 2002.

Diana was a great person who would do anything for anyone. She loved to play bingo, had a passion for cooking and loved to decorate for the holidays and spending time with her family. Her favorite season was fall, she would love to go for a walk and look at the fall leaves on the trees. She worked at Dennis Wilson Disposal Services for 10 years and loved interacting with the customers on the phone. She was well liked everywhere she went. She was a great mother, sister, daughter and friend. She will be deeply missed by many people. 

She is survived by her mother, Donna Staggs of St. Joseph, MO; 3 daughters: Heather Preston of St. Joseph, MO, Julie Gibbs of St. Joseph, MO, and Brandi Kelly (Jerry) of Elwood, KS; 3 sisters: Janet Sherer of Savannah, MO, Shirley Byrum (Alan) of Enid, OK, Lana Miller (Kevin) of St. Joseph, MO; and 1 brother, Byron Budden (Sherry) of St. Joseph, MO; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. 

She is preceded in death by her father and husband.
