Alice L. Hollman, 54, of Wellington, Kansas passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019 at her home in Wellington, Kansas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10:00 A.M., September 9, 2019 at the St. Anthony/St. Rose Catholic Church in Wellington. Burial will be in the Sumner Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M at the Shelley Family Funeral Home. Prayer Vigil and Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. Sunday evening at the St Anthony/St. Rose Catholic Church in Wellington. A memorial has been established with Victory in the Valley.
Alice Louise Hollman was born on March 13, 1965 the daughter of Philip Horsch and Donna (Chapin) Schlaman in Wellington, KS. She graduated from High School in Fayetteville, AR. On November 11, 1989 she was united in marriage with Terry Hollman in Wellington. As a young student Alice played first flute in the band, participated in Flag Line, Girls State and Leadership Corp in Highschool. She attended college at the University of Arkansas, Cowley County Community College and Wichita State University before receiving her master’s degree in special education. Alice was a special education teacher for 15 years. She enjoyed fishing, gardening traveling and going to the Casino.
She will be deeply missed by her family. Survivors include her husband Terry Hollman of Wellington, sons: Michael Hollman, Thomas Hollman and Patrick Hollman and daughter Jennifer Hollman all of Wellington, KS; mother, Donna Schlaman of Mulvane and father Philip Horsch of Wellington; 5 grandchildren: Emma Hollman, Savannah Hollman, Dominic Shore, Skylie Shore and Zylie Shore; brothers: Wyatt Horsch and Richard Horsch and wife Joyce; niece and nephew, Morgan and Maverick Pralle.
Alice is preceded in death by her grandparents.
